How to polish the acne scars on my skin?

Yes, they seem permanent and has remained intact for 4 years now. I had terrible acne in the days and i was happy that i treated them but somehow, millions of scars remained for each acne i had. And this sucks. Is there a remedy for that? Do you think the dermatologist also have a medicine for that too? Thank
