Is it necessary to use moisturizer and sunscreen when you use acne free or proactiv?

i would say i have mild acne in my t-zone. I use acne-free (cheaper verison of proactiv). The brand does not carry a sunscreen or moisturizer. Is it necessary to use both moisturizer and a sunscreen or will it counteract the medicated skin care line? Both the moisturizer and sunscreen are oil free.
