What causes chest acne and how to get rid of it?

I have chest acne and it is not very noticeable except for one big, red zit right in the middle of my chest. I wear shirts that are mostly cotton, wash the area everyday and even apply a mask to it but it still won`t go away. How do you prevent chest acne and get rid of those nasty
